COCINA + COLECTIVA
“Cocina + Colectiva” is a tactical working methodology created by Fundación Ciudad Emergente, that aims to facilitate conversation and idea exchange through a collective coocking methodology.
Founded from the Anthropology of nutrition and Collective Intelligence, this methodology incorporates food and cuisine as an element of relaxed meeting and exchange, which allows a group to cooperate in a process of discussion on a topic that is relevant to them.
During 2019 this tactic was implemented for COS (Comunidad de Organizaciones Solidarias), who carried out a strategic planning that is according to the mission and vision of this organization.
There were set 17 round tables with 12 people in each one of them. Each table was assigned a number and a box with kitchen implements and food. Before beginning any preparation, they must define a question or topic to deal with during the cooking process.
Then the activity begins and, while the food is prepared, teamwork and conversation arise.
The complete process of this methodology allows people to encourage relaxed conversation, teamwork, collaboration and the sense of doing things with dedication. Therein lies the sense of collective cooking that is enriched by honest and constructive conversation.
